[the end] Plan exhibition "haiku to see in compendium of seasonal words and season word" [Basho Museum]

We introduce indispensable season word and compendium of seasonal words in thinking about creation and appreciation of haiku.

"Season word" is lyrical word to express season in linked poem and the haiku. We played a role as nucleus which supported style of haiku while being old, and saying "words of the four seasons" "words of season", and gradually increasing the numbers.
On the other hand, we shared season word with "compendium of seasonal words" according to the four seasons and arranged and attached commentary and example phrase. The cause was handwriting that compiled event career and life history, but compendium of seasonal words as calendar of poetry came to be gradually published.

We take up two indispensable themes in regarding haiku "season word" as "compendium of seasonal words" in this exhibition and introduce about season word to consider in haikus from history and type, Basho of compendium of seasonal words to the close present age.
